PHMSA Announces Two Grant Opportunities to Assist with Hazmat Response

The Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration has announced two grant opportunities aimed at strengthening hazardous materials response and community preparedness. The Assistance for Local Emergency Response Training (ALERT) Grant provides funding to support the development and maintenance of hazmat training programs for emergency responders. The Community Safety (CS) Grant supports nonprofit organizations in enhancing community readiness and enforcement training related to hazmat transport. Applications are due by June 20.
