National Fire Organizations Set to Advocate for Legislation in DC
February 4, 2025
The Congressional Fire Services Institute (CFSI) will hold its annual Fire and Emergency Services Symposium and Dinner on February 12-13 in Washington, DC. CFSI is a consensus organization for the nation’s fires service that advocates for policies that have been approved by its National Advisory Committee, which consists of over 30 national fire service organizations including the National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC).
During this two-day period, representatives from the NVFC and other organizations that make up CFSI’s National Advisory Committee will meet with their Senator and Representatives to discuss policy priorities. More information about CFSI’s Symposium can be found here.
Below are the one-pagers outlining the policy priorities that NVFC representatives will be sharing with Congress. Even if you can’t make it to Washington for the CFSI Symposium, use these one-pagers for any meeting you have with your Representative’s District Office staff or email them to any points of contact you may have with your Representative’s or Senators’ staff.
