August 11 is 811 Day, an important reminder to contact 811 before digging to prevent hitting a pipeline. The Common Ground Alliance provides toolkits and resources to make it easy to promote this important message in your community. However, your department needs to be prepared in case a pipeline incident does occur. Use the free resources available through the Fire Department Pipeline Response, Emergency Planning, & Preparedness (FD PREPP) initiative to make sure your responders are ready.
