Apply for a Travel Stipend for the NVFC’s Recruitment & Retention Experience

The National Volunteer Fire Council’s (NVFC) Recruitment & Retention Experience takes place September 16-17 in Mesa, AZ. Want to attend but concerned about the travel costs? There is still time to apply for a stipend that will offset up to $750 of eligible conference-related expenses.

The Recruitment and Retention Experience is an educational event that focuses on critical staffing issues in the volunteer fire and emergency services and aims to provide innovative ideas and solutions you can bring back to your department. Subject matter experts will lead keynote presentations, breakout sessions, and interactive conversations on recruitment and retention topics, including integrating new recruits, junior firefighters, diversity, leadership, motivation, and mentoring. View full agenda. The registration fee is $129, which includes two days of training from industry leaders, a networking reception with vendor expo, and most meals.

Travel stipends reimburse up to $750 of conference expenses, including hotel, round-trip economy airfare, mileage, cab/shuttle fare, and the event registration fee.
