Application Period Now Open for SAFER and FP&S Grants

The application periods for two FEMA fire service grants are now open through July 3. The Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) grants support recruitment and retention of volunteer firefighters and the hiring of fulltime firefighters. Fire Prevention & Safety (FP&S) grants support projects that enhance the safety of the public and firefighters from fire and related hazards. Find grant documents and the application workshop schedule on the grant web sites. The NVFC also offers the course Grant Writing for the Fire and Emergency Services.
