USDOT Releases the 2026 National Roadway Safety Strategy

The U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) has released the 2026 National Roadway Safety Strategy (NRSS), an interdepartmental plan to reduce traffic fatalities and injuries on our nation’s roadways. The key activity under the Help First Responders Save Lives focus area is to “bolster crash prevention and post-crash care by supporting the implementation of 911 call-taking protocols and prehospital blood transfusion capabilities.” Read the NRSS.
