Volunteer Fire Departments Receive Donation through DripDrop Hydration Giveaway Campaign

DripDrop Hydration PBC and the National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) annually partner to support volunteer fire departments through the DripDrop Hydration Giveaway Campaign. This year, 1,332 departments in 49 states received a total of 200,000 sticks of DripDrop electrolyte drink mix to support firefighter hydration and health.
Summer brings high temperatures, wildfires, and other factors that increase dehydration risk among firefighters. Dehydration can not only decrease performance, but it can also lead to health complications such as dizziness, heat stroke, and even heart attack. DripDrop can help protect against these undesirable consequences by replenishing lost fluids and electrolytes quickly.
“Proper hydration is a critical need for firefighter health and safety,” said NVFC Chair Steve Hirsch. “These responders are wearing heavy gear, carrying hefty equipment, and working in high temperature environments. We are grateful for the continued support of DripDrop to ensure departments with limited resources and funding can support the health and safety of their members through proper hydration.”

Since the program began in 2020, nearly 3 million servings of DripDrop have been donated to volunteer fire departments. In 2026, departments received either up to two cases of DripDrop depending on their size and if they received a donation in 2025.
