Why are you an NVFC member?
The willingness of fellow firefighters to share, problem solve, offer solutions, and help guide others is truly amazing!

What is your occupation?
Retired

Why are you a fire service volunteer?
I have been a community volunteer for over 35 years in various fields. Moving to a small, rural town made me quickly aware that there was a great and urgent need for first responders in a primarily older community. My living on an old growth tree farm highlights the need for wildland firefighting skills and community awareness. I continue to educate myself in fire operations and prescribed burning techniques.

What year did you join the fire or emergency services?
2017

What are your memorable moments as a firefighter or EMS provider?
Running incident command on large wildland fires that require assets from the county and state to be utilized to contain fire.

What contributions have you (and your department) made in your community?
We’ve made the community rely upon each other and want to help and provide support as first responders. Whether on water, in the wildlands, roadways, or in their homes, this fire station is prepared to help.
