I believe in what they do – representing the fire service and especially those that volunteer their time and effort to the service.

What is your occupation?
Wildland firefighter for the U.S. Forest Service

Why are you a volunteer firefighter, EMT, or rescue provider?
My community needs firefighters, EMTs, and emergency service providers. It became an avocation in my life. I can’t imagine my life not being involved in the fire service.

What year did you join the fire or emergency services?
1976

What are your memorable moments as a firefighter or EMS provider?
There are too many to mention

What contributions have you (and your department) made in your community?  
We have grown, expanded, and professionalized our department over the past 40 years.
