Why are you an NVFC member?
It helps me stay informed about things going on in the nation’s fire service and get signed up for different stuff like Globe’s bunker gear giveaway and to see how the AFG and other grants are going.

What is your occupation?
Locomotive engineer

Why are you a volunteer firefighter, EMT, or rescue provider?
To help my neighbors, especially little kids because they are our future and deserve to be given a chance to make it. Who knows – they may change the world.

What year did you join the fire or emergency services?
1988

What are your memorable moments as a firefighter or EMS provider?
Doing CPR on my hunting buddy; helping a lady with a baby delivery; fighting brush fire that had me trapped because the line fire had changed direction, so I had to cut a line around myself; having to go look for drowned firefighter at a water rescue from a nearby department

What contributions have you (and your department) made in your community?
Fire safety at the local school, swift water rescue team, and providing EMS.
