Why are you an NVFC member?
Because I like to stay updated on the newest info in the fire service to help better serve the community.

What is your occupation?
Heavy Equipment Operator

Why are you a volunteer firefighter, EMT, or rescue provider?
To help people who are in need. I also like to serve my community in keeping everyone safe when they are in trouble.

What year did you join the fire or emergency services?
2002

What are your memorable moments as a firefighter or EMS provider?
Being nominated and winning the Newberry County Exchange Club Firefighter of the Year for 2017. That is the highest award that our county awards every year.

What contributions have you (and your department) made in your community?
We stay active in our community by going to the area churches and schools to give information on fire safety. We also have a smoke detector program in our county, and if someone needs a smoke detector in their home we will get one and come install it for them as well as give them a home safety check to ensure their safety.
