Upcoming Virtual Discussion to Focus on New NERIS Platform

Join the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology Directorate, UL’s Fire Safety Research Institute (FSRI), and the U.S. Fire Administration (USFA) for a virtual discussion with Q&A on July 13 at 12pm ET to hear first-hand from leaders about the vision, purpose, and impact of the new National Emergency Response Information System (NERIS).

During the session, participants will be provided with information about the NERIS platform itself, the new data standard on which it will be based, and the approach to development, along with key milestones and timing. Attendees will also have the opportunity to have their questions about NERIS answered live.

Featured speakers include Dr. David Alexander, senior science advisor for resilience at DHS Science and Technology Directorate; U.S. Fire Administrator Dr. Lori Moore-Merrell; Dr. Steve Kerber, vice president and executive director at FSRI; and Commissioner Adam K.
