Take Action to Protect Yourself from Cancer

A recent study by the International Agency for Research on Cancer, the World Health Organization’s cancer agency, concluded that occupational exposure as a firefighter causes cancer. It is critical that firefighters protect themselves and reduce their exposure risks. The Lavender Ribbon Report and subsequent update present 11 actions firefighters should take to reduce their risk of occupational cancer and shares personal stories, best practices, and other information to reinforce these actions.
