January is Firefighter Cancer Awareness Month

The Firefighter Cancer Support Network and International Association of Fire Fighters have designated January as Firefighter Cancer Awareness Month. A web site is available with weekly focus areas, presentations, survivor stories, training briefs, and more to help departments participate. This is also a good opportunity to review the Lavender Ribbon Report with your department to make sure firefighters know the 11 actions they should take to reduce their risks of occupational cancer.
