FY 2022 Appropriations Signed Into Law

On March 15, President Biden signed H.R. 2471, the FY 2022 Consolidated Appropriations Act, into law. The bill funds the federal government through September. H.R. 2471 contains $360 million each for the Assistance to Firefighters Grant and the Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response grant programs, level funding from FY 2021. The U.S. Fire Administration is funded at $53.21 million, an increase of approximately $3 million. The Volunteer Fire Assistance grant program received $20 million, a $1 million increase.
