Focus on Wildfire Preparedness on May 6

May 6 is Wildfire Community Preparedness Day, a national campaign to encourage communities to come together to take action to raise awareness and reduce wildfire risks. Use this day to train department members on how to make your community more fire adapted through home safety assessments. The NVFC and U.S. Forest Service provide free training and resources through the Wildland Fire Assessment Program. Take the training, then schedule home safety visits in your community.
