It’s National Volunteer Week, and the NVFC thanks all volunteers in the fire and emergency services for the commitment, dedication, and service you provide to your community every day of the year. The majority of the U.S. fire service is made up of volunteers, who dedicate their time and energy to help their communities in a variety of ways, from fighting fires, to EMS, to rescue, and more. Thousands of others participate in Fire Corps programs, supporting their local first responders and increasing the programs and services offered in their communities. We appreciate all you do to make our nation stronger, safer, and better.
