Single Membership Transition FAQs

Is my current membership still valid?

Yes. Your current membership is valid through its expiration date, even if the membership category is no longer available for purchase. To check your membership expiration, log into your NVFC account and select the “Memberships” link on the left under your profile.

My current membership doesn’t expire for several months, but can I switch to the new membership type now?

Yes. If you hold a Basic Individual or Department membership and you prefer to switch to the new individual membership, you can do it at any time. If you need any assistance, email membership@nvfc.org.

How do I sign up multiple individuals for membership?

Purchase the number of memberships you require at https://www.nvfc.org/join-nvfc/, then submit your roster at https://nvfc.wufoo.com/forms/membership-roster-form/. If you have your own roster, you can upload it through the form or email it to membership@nvfc.org. Be sure to include unique email addresses for each member so that they can create their own NVFC accounts. We cannot create multiple accounts with the same email address.

I’m not a volunteer. Can I still be a member?

Yes! The NVFC enjoys the support of individuals from across the country and around the world. Most of our members are volunteers, but our members also include career firefighters, EMS providers, and rescue personnel, as well as general supporters and volunteers’ family members.

I live outside the U.S. Are my member benefits the same?

Member benefits for non-U.S. citizens are the same with one exception. The AD&D insurance policy is only valid for U.S. citizens. We welcome members from around the world and will be delighted to enjoy your support!
