Resources Available through Wildland Fire Assessment Program

Wildfires are affecting many parts of the country, and communities across the U.S. are at risk for wildfire. The Wildland Fire Assessment Program (WFAP) provides free training and resources to help fire department volunteers better prepare communities in the wildland-urban interface for the next wildfire. A partnership between the NVFC and U.S. Forest Service, the WFAP trains volunteer firefighters and Fire Corps members to evaluate a home and provide residents with recommendations to protect their property from wildfires in order to make their community more fire adapted.
