Reserve Your Spot at the 2016 NVFC Training Summit
November 13, 2015
Scholarships available for 2-day training event
This is the NVFC’s second Training Summit, which focuses on key fire and emergency service issues relating to health and safety, fire prevention, and staffing and recruitment. The two-day seminar provides an opportunity to share ideas and best practices, network, and participate in valuable classroom training. The conference is open to all volunteer firefighters, EMTs, department leadership, and other fire department personnel from across the United States. Attendees will be able to select six out of 12 breakout sessions to attend; a full agenda, course descriptions, and registration form will be available in February 2016.
The registration fee for the Summit is $75, which includes 1.5 days of training from industry leaders, electronic copies of presentations and handouts, and some meals. To help more first responders attend, a scholarship is available for select attendees. The scholarship will reimburse up to $500 per person for lodging and transportation expenses, including hotel, airfare, and/or mileage. In addition, the registration fee will be waived. To apply for a scholarship, complete this form. A maximum of two representatives per department can receive reimbursement. To be eligible for a scholarship, you or your department must be a current member of the NVFC. If you are not a member, join at www.nvfc.org/BeYourBest. Scholarships will be awarded on a rolling basis, with notifications beginning in January 2016.
