NVFC Releases Free Volunteer Fire Department Recruit Tracking Tool
February 16, 2016
The National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) has launched an innovative recruit tracking tool as part of its Make Me A Firefighter volunteer recruitment campaign. To access the recruit tracker, login to the department portal. Not signed up with the campaign? Register for free at http://portal.nvfc.org.
The recruit tracking tool uses a customer relationship management (CRM) system to enable departments to monitor potential volunteers through every stage of the application process.
Now when a volunteer application is submitted through MakeMeAFirefighter.org, the department contact person for the opportunity listing will be notified via email, and the applicant will automatically be added to the tracking tool under “Interested.” The tool will allow departments to monitor recruits throughout the entire application process – from interest to commitment – and will help recruiters keep a contact history for each applicant. Post your volunteer opportunities through the portal at http://portal.nvfc.org so potential volunteers can find your listing in the MakeMeAFirefighter.org database.
Departments can also manually add prospects not received through MakeMeAFirefighter.org by using the “Add New Prospect” button. This feature allows the recruit tracker – and the entire department portal – to be the department’s central hub for all recruitment activities.
