NVFC Offers Webinar Covering Emergency Service Liability Issues

The National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) is hosting a new webinar covering liability issues in the emergency services on April 10, 2012 at 2:00 pm Eastern.
Instructed by Dr. William F. Jenaway, CFO, CFPS, Executive Vice President of VFIS and the CEO of their Education, Training, and Consulting group, this webinar will focus on fire service risk management and liability. Ten topics ranging from financial management and bonding needs, to harassment and discrimination, to improper hiring and termination will be covered. The webinar will focus largely on volunteer and combination fire departments and discuss helpful management techniques to navigate these sensitive issues.
Jenaway has over 40 years of fire service experience, including service as Fire Chief and Fire Marshal in East Bethlehem Township (PA) and Chief and President of the King of Prussia (PA) Volunteer Fire Company. He holds the Chief Fire Officer (CFO) designation and is a Certified Fire Protection Specialist by NFPA. In 2001 he was named “Volunteer Chief of the Year” by Fire Chief Magazine. Jenaway also serves as President of the Congressional Fire Service Institute and is an adjunct professor for the Public Safety Graduate School at St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, PA.
