NVFC Offers Social Media and Financial Systems Management Webinars

The National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) is hosting two new webinars covering social media issues and concerns and financial systems management. These free webinars will be instructed by Dr. William F. Jenaway, CFO, CFPS, and Executive Vice President of VFIS and the CEO of their Education, Training, and Consulting group. Each webinar is limited to 100 attendees, so early registration is encouraged.
Offered on September 30, 2013 at 3:00pm Eastern, Social Media Issues and Concerns for Emergency Service Organizations will focus on the impact social media, social networking, and web sites have had on emergency service organizations, and will discuss the potential management challenges and liabilities created by this new medium.
Offered on October 3, 2013 at 3:00pm Eastern, Financial Systems Management for Fire and EMS Agencies will address financial management challenges facing emergency service organizations, and will discuss how to implement specific systems to prevent and manage fidelity issues.
Dr. Jenaway has over 40 years of fire service experience, including service as Fire Chief and Fire Marshal in East Bethlehem Township (PA), and Chief and President of the King of Prussia (PA) volunteer fire company. He holds the CFO designation and is a Certified Fire Protection Specialist. He was named Volunteer Chief of the Year in 2001 by Fire Chief Magazine. He also serves as President of the Congressional Fire Service Institute and is an adjunct professor for the Public Safety Graduate School at St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia.
