NVFC Launches Online Course Outlining a Fire Chief’s Authority to Adapt NFPA Standards
July 31, 2018
The National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) has developed an online course discussing the ways a fire chief can apply National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards to best fit their department’s specific needs. Fire Chief Authority Under NFPA Standards provides an overview of how a chief, as the Authority Having Jurisdiction, is able to amend NFPA standards and implement policy based on their community risk assessment and community needs.
The NVFC is offering the course free-of-charge for a limited time to all members of the fire and emergency services, thanks to the generosity of the Motorola Solutions Foundation. Take this training through the Virtual Classroom. If you don’t have a Virtual Classroom account, create one for free to access this course.
