NVFC Chairman Philip C. Stittleburg Elected to Serve as Chair of NFPA

National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) Chairman Philip C. Stittleburg has been elected to his first term as Chair of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Board of Directors. He has served as First Vice Chair of the NFPA for the past two years. The election results were announced today at the 2012 NFPA Conference and Expo in Las Vegas, NV.

Stittleburg is currently serving his sixth two-year term as Chairman of the NVFC. He has been Fire Chief at the LaFarge (WI) Fire Department since 1977, serves on the Board of Directors of the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, is a past-President of the NVFC Foundation, and has represented the NVFC on several NFPA standards-setting committees including NFPA 1500. He was named Volunteer Fire Chief of the Year by Fire Chief Magazine in 1998. Stittleburg is also a partner in the law firm of Jenkins and Stittleburg, and serves as legal counsel to the NVFC, the Wisconsin State Firefighters Association, and the LaFarge Fire Department.
