Nominations for 2013 Rick Rescorla National Award for Resilience Due May 31

The Department of Homeland Security’s Rick Rescorla National Award for Resilience recognizes superior leadership and innovation by a non-governmental individual or organization in the face of disasters. The 2013 award will honor outstanding performance in 2012 in 1) withstanding, adapting, and rapidly recovering from natural or human caused incidents that impact lives or property, or 2) developing resilience in anticipation of future incidents threatening life or property. Volunteer first responders, including firefighters and EMS providers, other individuals not employed by a government entity, and non-governmental organizations are among those eligible to be nominated.
