NFPA Soliciting Public Input on Proposal to Create a Community Risk Reduction Standard
March 24, 2014
On March 3-4, the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standards Council voted to solicit public input on a proposal to establish a standard that helps departments follow the process steps for a Community Risk Reduction (CRR). A CRR plan is the identification and prioritization of risks followed by the coordinated application of resources to minimize the probability or occurrence and/or the impact of unfortunate events.
Further information on this proposed project will be published in NFPA News on April 4, 2014. Comments can be sent by e-mail to stds_admin@nfpa.org.
