New Training Available – Fireground Accountability
March 10, 2014
Firefighters and emergency service personnel operate in a dangerous profession. Even though the culture of the service is evolving to encompass higher safety measures, influencing behavioral changes and shifting attitudes to practice and reward risk-reduction procedures continues to be an uphill battle. Additionally, various factors like increased budget cuts, responding from home, time constraints, and other dynamics can pose even more of a challenge for the volunteer fire service.
The National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) developed the online training webinar Fireground Accountability – Daring Not to be a Statistic to help volunteer departments identify best practices and implement effective accountability solutions with limited resources to ensure that our first responders can do their jobs in the safest environment possible and continue to influence risk-reduction behavior changes.
