New Federal Reporting Tool for Communicating EMS Needs During COVID-19 Pandemic

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s Office of EMS has designed a reporting tool to provide EMS agencies with a consistent and immediate way to report personnel shortages, PPE needs, and “stress” that departments are experiencing due to the COVID-19 outbreak and the impending influenza season. This information will be used to present an accurate and current picture of the nation’s EMS resource needs at the state and federal levels.

It takes less than five minutes to complete the form. Agencies are asked to submit data on a weekly basis (preferably every Monday) so that the Office of EMS has up-to-date information as conditions on the ground change.
