NEMSAC and FICEMS to Meet in December
November 12, 2015
The National EMS Advisory Council (NEMSAC) will be meeting in the Washington, DC, area on December 1-2, 2015. The Federal Interagency Committee on EMS (FICEMS) will meet in the afternoon on December 2 after the conclusion of the NEMSAC meeting, also in the Washington, DC, area.
The NEMSAC is a nationally recognized council of EMS representatives and consumers that provides advice and recommendations regarding EMS to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), which houses the Office of Emergency Medical Services. The purpose of FICEMS is to ensure coordination among the federal agencies involved with state, local, tribal, or regional EMS and 9-1-1 systems.
Direct public comments are welcome at both meetings, either in-person or in writing. Anyone with questions about the meetings or who wants to submit a public comment should contact Susan McHenry (Susan.McHenry@dot.gov) with NHTSA’s Office of EMS.
