Jack Daniel Distillery Hosts Concert Event for Volunteer Firefighters

National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) partner Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Fire hosted a special appreciation event for volunteer firefighters at the Jack Daniel Distillery in Lynchburg, TN, on June 30, featuring a performance by country music star Chase Rice. Close to 50 volunteer firefighters and their guests were flown in from across the country to participate.

The Jack Daniel Distillery is one of the only distilleries in the U.S. to have its own fire brigade, staffed by distillery workers who volunteer to serve. To show their appreciation for volunteer firefighters, Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Fire partnered with the NVFC to raise money for the volunteer fire service.

This year’s partnership culminated in the Jack Fire “Raise One for the Fighters” Concert for Volunteer Firefighters. Volunteer firefighters from throughout the U.S. were selected to attend through a contest that ran throughout the spring. The firefighters and their guests were flown into Nashville for a two-night stay. On Sunday, June 30, attendees toured the distillery, visited the Jack Daniel’s Fire Brigade, and ate dinner on BBQ Hill, followed by an intimate concert and meet and greet with Chase Rice.

“We thank Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Fire and Chase Rice for their support of the volunteer fire service,” said NVFC Chair Steve Hirsch. “Volunteer firefighters donate their time and risk their safety every day in service to their communities. This event was an outstanding show of appreciation for the dedicated volunteers who give so much to others.”
