IAB Position Paper on Hazards in the Post-Fire Environment

The InterAgency Board (IAB) has released a position paper on the Evaluation of Hazards in the Post-Fire Environment. The paper discusses airborne hazards associated with the post-fire environment and whether the use of handheld multi-gas detectors is appropriate and sufficient for determining the level of PPE to be worn during operations in a given post-fire environment. Find the position paper on the IAB web site at www.iab.gov.
