FSF Releases New Training Program on Structure Fire Management with Limited Manpower
May 19, 2014
The Firefighters Support Foundation’s (FSF) newest training program is now available. Where’s the Cavalry? Initial Management of a Structure Fire with Limited Manpower addresses the challenges faced by many volunteer and combination departments that, of necessity, often have skeleton crews initially responding to fires. Whether these initial responders arrive with apparatus or not, there are useful tasks that they can perform until additional apparatus and personnel arrive.
The program consists of a 30-minute video presentation and an accompanying 31-slide PowerPoint. It is presented by combination department Chief Scott Alderman, a past president of the North Carolina State Firemen’s Association.
The program is free to all members of public safety and emergency management agencies. Go to www.ffsupport.org to download your copy.
