Fire Department Code of Conduct
June 12, 2018
It is critical for fire and emergency service agencies to have – and enforce – a code of conduct for its members. This protects the department and its members by providing specific expectations, responsibilities, and behaviors that all members must adhere to. It requires members to uphold public trust, treat the public and each other respectfully, and always act ethically and with integrity. You can use the NVFC’s Member Code of Conduct as a basis to help create one for your department. Learn more about why a code of conduct is important.
