DHS Blue Campaign and Council on Combating Violence Against Women Stakeholder Event

The Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Blue Campaign and the Council on Combating Violence Against Women are hosting a stakeholder event on Monday, August 26, at 1:00 pm EDT. The Blue Campaign is the unified voice for the DHS’s efforts to combat human trafficking. The Council on Combating Violence Against Women is an effort to ensure the effective administration of laws preventing violence against women.

Through their duties, fire, EMS, medical, and public safety workers are in a position to spot signs that trafficking or violence is occurring and report it.

At this event, the Blue Campaign and the Council leadership will share information about the creation of the council and its initial accomplishments, as well as the recent Blue Campaign re-launch and new public awareness materials. There will also be a listening session on issues related to the Department’s ongoing efforts to prevent and combat human trafficking and violence against women.
