CMS Announces $50 Billion to Support Rural Health Transformation

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has announced a Notice of Funding Opportunity for the Rural Health Transformation (RHT) Program, offering up to $50 billion to help states strengthen and modernize rural healthcare. The RHT Program aims to foster innovative care models that improve health outcomes. Examples include community paramedicine and prehospital blood transfusion programs, which can be lifesaving for patients in rural areas located far from trauma centers.
