Arson Awareness Week is May 4-10
April 7, 2014
Arson Awareness Week is a month away, and your department can use this opportunity to raise awareness of arson and provide individuals with strategies to combat arson in their community. The theme of this year’s event is: “Vehicle arson – a combustible crime.”
The U.S. Fire Administration (USFA) provides an online resource center to help implement a local campaign for Arson Awareness Week. This includes vehicle arson prevention tips; vehicle fire investigative hints and successful practices; sample Arson Awareness Week letter, proclamation, and resolution; and additional resources to help identify and prevent vehicle arson.
On May 4-10, joint the USFA, National Volunteer Fire Council, and other Arson Awareness Week partners in helping to raise awareness of vehicle arson and prevent future cases of this serious crime.
