Apply Now for the NVFC’s Health and Wellness Advocate Train-the-Trainer Course

There is still time to apply for the National Volunteer Fire Council’s (NVFC) Health & Wellness Advocate Train-the-Trainer workshop on August 15 at Fire-Rescue International in Chicago, IL. The NVFC will provide up to $500 to assist with travel expenses for approved representatives of state fire training organizations and associations. Individuals not associated with a fire training agency are also welcome to apply. Can’t make it to the workshop at FRI? The NVFC will also offer the Health and Wellness Advocate Train-the-Trainer course on October 10 at the Iowa Fire Service Training Bureau in Ames, IA. Stay tuned to the Dispatch e-newsletter and www.nvfc.org for more details and information on how to register.
The NVFC’s Health & Wellness Advocate course teaches first responders the importance of health and wellness and motivates them to start a department-wide health and wellness program. Participants in this Train-the-Trainer course will be given the tools and resources they need to teach this valuable information to others.
