Apply for an Assistance to Firefighters Grant to Support Your EMS Needs

The application period is now open for the FY2012 Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program. Your fire department or nonaffiliated emergency medical organization can apply for a grant to fund needed gear, equipment, and training to meet your EMS needs.
The EMS Quick Reference Guide provides a detailed overview of funding priorities for the emergency medical services. Categories for EMS include Training, Equipment, Personal Protective Equipment, Wellness & Fitness, Modifications to Facilities, and Vehicles. The guide gives an at-a-glance-look at what items and projects are eligible for funding and what constitutes ineligible expenditures.
