Application Period Now Open for National Fire Academy

The application period for the first semester of National Fire Academy (NFA) resident classes is open through June 15. The first semester includes classes scheduled from October 1, 2012 – March 31, 2013. Applications must be postmarked between April 15 and June 15, 2012.
June 15 is also the deadline for EFO applications for the Federal fiscal year: October 1, 2012 through September 30, 2013.
Remember that there has been a change to the NFA application process. Students applying for FY13 training courses (those starting after September 30, 2012) are required to register for a Student Identification Number (SID). This number will be used in place of the Social Security Number on General Admissions Application forms. Learn how to register for a SID.
