Application Period Now Open for FY 2011 Fire Prevention and Safety Grants

FEMA has opened the application period for the FY 2011 Fire Prevention and Safety (FP&S) Grants. Part of the Assistance to Firefighters Grants program, FP&S Grants support projects that enhance the safety of the public and firefighters from fire and related hazards.

The primary goal of FP&S Grants is to target high-risk populations to reduce injury and prevent death. Funds can also be used for firefighter safety research and development.

Take this opportunity to apply for funding to assist your fire department with fire prevention initiatives as well as firefighter health and safety programs. Applications are due April 27.
