Example Campaign: IVFESA
The Idaho Volunteer Fire & Emergency Services Association (IVFESA) launched an integrated marketing campaign to reverse the declining trend of volunteer emergency responder involvement in Idaho. Materials encourage the public to call 1-800-FIRE-LINE to become a volunteer firefighter or EMS provider. The campaign consists of three television public service announcements (PSAs), local newspaper advertisements, new web site, full-size color recruiting posters, online banner advertisements, and training events. Campaign materials, including the video public service announcements, were created with funds the IVFESA received through a Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) Grant. Example Campaign: OVFA
The Oregon Volunteer Firefighters Association (OVFA) created several public service announcements (PSAs) that promote recruitment for their state's fire departments using the 1-800-FIRE-LINE number. These include "Answer the Call," which is a 30-second video PSA that encourages the public to call 1-800-FIRE-LINE to become a volunteer firefighter. Click here to view "Answer the Call".
