Combined Federal Campaign and United Way
The National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) is participating in the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) and the United Way of the National Capital Area workplace giving campaign. Help support the volunteer fire and emergency services by making a contribution to the NVFC during this fall’s campaigns.
The CFC season runs through December 15, and federal employees can use this opportunity to designate a contribution to the NVFC by indicating CFC identification # 11395 when making your pledge. Managed by the Office of CFC Operations in the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, the CFC is the world's largest and most successful annual workplace giving campaign. Its mission is to promote and support philanthropy through a program that is employee-focused, cost-efficient, and effective in providing federal employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for all. During campaign season, federal civilian, postal, and military donors can make pledges to eligible nonprofit organizations.
Non-federal employees can support the NVFC through the United Way. Designate #9657 on the donation form. The NVFC is listed in the brochure for the United Way of the National Capital Area, but any participant in a United Way campaign nationwide can designate the NVFC in their giving.
Money donated to the NVFC helps support NVFC's legislative initiatives, the Heart-Healthy Firefighter Program, Fire Corps, the National Junior Firefighter Program, and other important initiatives and projects that benefit the fire and emergency medical services.
