Georgia-Pacific Bucket Brigade Grant

The Georgia-Pacific Bucket Brigade™ program provides grants to fire departments that serve communities that have a Georgia-Pacific facility or where its employees reside. It is the company's way of recognizing and supporting firefighters for their contributions in making our families, homes, and workplaces safer.

There are over one million firefighters in the United States, and about 70 percent of these are volunteers. These dedicated individuals selflessly give of themselves to keep the people and property that make up their communities safe. Yet many departments are struggling to provide the necessary resources for these responders to perform their duties.
 
The Georgia-Pacific Bucket Brigade program aims to assist by helping provide the necessities local fire departments need to protect and educate their communities. The program supports firefighters through monetary grants for equipment, resources, and programming, as well as safety education materials for use in local schools. Since 2006, Georgia-Pacific has awarded nearly $800,000 to rural and small-town fire departments.
 
Apply for a Grant
  • Must be located within 30 miles of a Georgia-Pacific facility. Click here to view a list of facility locations.
  • Average funding is from $5,000- $10,000
  • All applications must be approved by local Georgia-Pacific facility
  • Grants can be used to fund a variety of necessities, including:
    • Turn-out gear
    • Breathing apparatus
    • Water pumps
    • Hoses and nozzles
How to Apply
 
  1. Download application from www.gpbucketbrigade.com or obtain from your local GP facility
  2. Complete application and submit to your local GP facility by July 2. Local facility will review and approve
  3. Once approved, submit to Georgia- Pacific Headquarters by July 13:
