Assistance to Firefighter Grant Applications Due May 20
The application period for the 2009 Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) Program closes May 20 at 5 p.m. EDT. Approximately $510 million in funding is available to fire departments and nonaffiliated emergency medical service organizations to support activities including training, the purchase of equipment and response vehicles, and first responder health and safety programs.
