Cochran Confirmed as U.S. Fire Administrator
The Senate confirmed Kelvin J. Cochran as Administrator of the U.S. Fire Administration by voice vote Friday. Cochran has been the Fire Chief of the Atlanta Fire Department since 2008 and before that served as Chief of the Shreveport (LA) Fire Department. Yesterday, the National Volunteer Fire Council endorsed Cochran’s nomination for U.S. Fire Administrator and advocated a quick confirmation process. Stay tuned to the NVFC E-update next week for more on the confirmation.
