
Junior Firefighter Camps
Every year, a number of fire departments and related organizations across the nation host junior firefighter and Explorer camps. The activities at each camp vary, but usually include a great deal of teamwork and learning what it takes to become a firefighter. Description: This event is a weeklong summer camp for women ages 14-20. This year, the camp will take place from August 3-8 at the NH Fire Academy.

Description: The events are open to any group with a team of five to ten participants. Team costs are $200.00 per ten-person team. Hotel costs vary by the location of the event.

Central Florida
Venturing/Exploring Super Weekend hosted by the Central Florida Council, BSA
Description: This event involves two nights and three days of camping, interacting with youth groups from around central Florida, and some outside the area, and team and individual competition events. This is a great team-building camp and you have the opportunity to meet many different groups. The camp holds over 1200 people and there are currently about 600 participants. The cost this year was $27.00 per participant and occurs the second weekend in February.

Naples, FL
Description: Naples Police and Fire Department runs two one-week academies during the summer. The target age range is 11-14. Monday-Friday 0800-1600. The child receives a t-shirt, hat, book bag, first aid kit, etc. (The program won the 2007 Florida Crime Prevention Association- Outstanding Program of the Year). Registration is open to the public.

Description: This camp is taught by real firefighters and children will learn what it takes to be a firefighter, including trying on real gear, and learning about home and fire safety. Camp is available for children from 4-5 years of age. The dates are: June 16 – 20, July 7 – 11 (Morning Only). Extended care until 5 p.m. is available for full-day campers only. The cost is an additional $20 per week. (Pre-registration is required)
Cost: $110 per child (EdVenture Members) or $130 per child (Non-members). The price includes a unique Camp EdVenture t-shirt!
