U.S. CPSC Launches Product Safety Database to Keep Kids and Families Safe

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has launched a new web site that offers information about dangerous products. Firefighters, fire officers, and EMS workers should use SaferProducts.gov to report hazardous products that cause fires and injuries to help initiate investigations and protect the public. Anyone can also now search SaferProducts.gov to read recall notices and reports of product hazards from consumers, hospitals, paramedics and others. The searchable database contains information on hundreds of dangerous products including baby products, appliances, toys and electronics.
