PNS Energy Offers Fundraising Program for Fire Departments

Emergency Power Kit helps citizens stay connected in power outages

Portable power to charge communication devices is an essential part of a comprehensive emergency preparedness plan. The Emergency Power Kit, a small back-up system in a box, fills that need while allowing fire departments to raise cash to support operations.

PNS Energy introduced The Emergency Power Kit Fundraising Program as a stress-free way for fire departments of all sizes to combat shrinking budgets and growing needs without distracting from their mission.

The program provides both a valuable emergency preparedness product for community members and a great fundraiser for fire departments. Buyers stay connected during power outages with a portable power kit that will re-charge small communication devices like cell phones and computers, lights, personal radios, and more, while fire departments raise $50+ per kit without ever handling the product.

“I grew up in a small mountain town in CO and my family was evacuated several times due to forest fires,” said company CEO David Curran. “When we designed our new product I really wanted it to go hand in hand with the fire/emergency box that my family had next to the door, and I wanted to find a way to say thank you and give back to those that keep our communities safe.”

PNS Energy’s fundraising program is all-inclusive and requires no pre-purchasing, no product handling, and advertising production. The program includes:

  • Customized marketing materials necessary to run a successful fundraising campaign, including postcards and flyers branded to the specific fire department,
  • A pre-mapped outreach plan to help ensure success,
  • Buy Now buttons for the department’s web site or a customized page on PNS Energy’s site, and
  • Easy ordering and dropping directly to the buyer.

The Emergency Power Kit combines a small rechargeable battery, power inverter, crank flashlight/radio, and waterproof document bag to store pertinent emergency information all in a small portable case.
