NVFC Offers $10,000 AD&D Policy to Members
Published Date: 09.27.2011
Personal, All-Staff, and All-State members of the National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) receive a $10,000 Accidental Death & Dismemberment policy through the Provident Agency, Inc. This is a valuable benefit to all those in the fire and emergency services as it helps to protect you and your family from financial difficulties should tragedy strike. The policy also provides double the benefit value if the death occurs while serving in an emergency capacity.
Chief Jonathan Rorie from the Carolina Beach Fire Department in North Carolina knows firsthand how important it is to have this coverage. When his department tragically lost one of its members, the policy proved instrumental in helping the family financially without creating additional strain on the grieving department. “The NVFC took over the process, which is what we needed during that difficult time,” Rorie said.
The AD&D policy is one of many benefits available to members of the NVFC. Join the NVFC at www.nvfc.org/membership to take advantage of all of our benefits.
If you are already a member, please make sure you have filled out the policy’s Beneficiary Designation Form. You can find this as well as details for other member benefits on the members-only portion of www.nvfc.org.
